Double board-certified physiatrist Seth Kaufman, DO, offers nonsurgical specialized physical medicine and rehabilitation at South Florida Interventional Orthopedics and Spine in Davenport and Miami, Florida.
Dr. Kaufman uses tried-and-tested techniques alongside cutting-edge treatments to treat the full range of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries, including back, neck, shoulder, hip, and knee pain, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, arthritis, and sciatica.
Dr. Kaufman earned his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, graduating with distinction. He received his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYIT-COM) in Old Westbury, New York.
After finishing medical school, Dr. Kaufman completed two internships. One was a traditional rotating internship. The other was an internship in general surgery at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) in Livingston, New Jersey.
Dr. Kaufman completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Boston Medical Center (BMC) in Boston, Massachusetts. The medical center is attached to Boston University Medical Campus.
While in Boston, Dr. Kaufman did a considerable amount of training at Harvard Medical School’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. He excelled during his time there, receiving the highest letters of recommendation from faculty and staff.
Dr. Kaufman pursued his interventional spine and pain fellowship in Annapolis, Maryland, and worked for several years with renowned neurosurgeons from Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in Baltimore, Maryland. Under their guidance, Dr. Kaufman learned the latest pain management and interventional techniques.
